GAFI issues lenient procedures for companies in investment zones

GAFI is offering a package for lenient procedures to the companies in investment zones. Benefiting companies include companies operating in medical industry, pharmaceutical industry and food industry.

  1. The decision assigns the heads of the boards of each zone to issue approvals for incorporation or amendment of the relevant companies.
  2. Additionally, new projects shall be granted a temporary operating license for a period of 6 months if the company installs the production lines.
  3. Companies whose licenses expire may be extended for 6 months as well.
  4. The submission of the insurance amounts and letters of guarantee by investors applying for units within the investment zone will be extended for 3 months.  This period can be renewed.  
  5. Applicants may request the services of the executive offices online.
