The 6 of October Dry Port Project won the IJ Global Transport Deal of the year for the MENA region – Sharkawy & Sarhan

We are delighted to announce that our Infrastructure & Power team advised EBRD on the 6 of  Project that won the  Transport Deal of the year for the MENA region.

This groundbreaking transaction is the first PPP dry port project to be implemented in Egypt and is part of the overall government masterplan for targeting transport deficiencies in order to drive economic growth and attract more foreign direct investment. This project created a bankable precedent for a pipeline of dry ports in Egypt and helped increase investor appetite.

The success of this project was the result of great team effort!

The team at Sharkawy & Sarhan was led by partner  closely supported by partner Naila Ramsay, senior associate Nesma Abdelbary and associate Nadin Ghaleb.
