A dynamic team offering a full spectrum of employment legal services
Our Employment Law team works closely with the other teams in the firm to ensure that both our general corporate and transactional clients receive exceptional employment law support in managing their workforces through all stages of their operations and in relation to all its aspects.
The team has in-depth knowledge and broad and extensive experience of the law and practice.
We handle the employment aspects associated with transactions managed by other teams, such as the M&A team, in the context of acquisitions and transfer of employees between entities.
Outside the context of transactional work, we advise on day-to day inquiries pertaining to all aspects of employment, immigration, and social insurance laws, plus insurance laws covering pension funds, corporate and capital market laws covering employee profit shares and share incentive plans, IP laws covering IP rights created and/or assigned by employees, as well as digital regulation governing e-signatures and data privacy in the HR context.
The team works closely with our litigation staff to review, manage, establish a strategy, and report on employment litigation. We are supported by a dedicated unit of seasoned and dynamic procedural lawyers, who have extensive experience in dealing with regulators and government relations. The Employment Law team and the Procedural Unit work together to plan, negotiate and respond to inspections, investigations and applications to various regulators concerned with our clients’ workforces, such as the Ministry of Manpower, labour offices, social insurance departments, immigration offices, as well as health and safety authorities.
