Farah has been a member of the Oil & Gas, Mining and Mineral Resources team at Sharkawy & Sarhan Law Firm since September 2019, following her graduation from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University – English Section.
In addition to her experience in Oil & Gas, she has experience in Banking and Finance, Corporate, Commercial and Employment.
Farah assisted with several high-profile matters and transactions including advising Centamin Plc in relation to setting up and overseeing their Egyptian corporate entities granted exploration licenses from Egypt’s 2020(1) gold bid round, Centamin Plc and Barrick in relation to the model mining agreement, and Energean Plc with regards to its acquisition of Egyptian oil and gas assets from Edison SpA.
Farah was seconded on a full-time basis to Wintershall Dea, acting as its in house Egyptian counsel and advising on all Egyptian law matters relating to their oil and gas upstream business in Egypt. She regularly advises PICLE a Petronas Company with all their Egyptian law matters pertaining to their upstream, midstream and downstream business in Egypt.
