The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as lender’s local counsel, in relation to the USD 4,800,000 loan to Intro Sustainable Resources & Intro Solar S.A.E. for the financing of a portfolio of renewable projects, including a combined heat and power plant (CHP) for a plastic bottle recycling facility and refinancing of Intro’s solar project developed under round 1 of the Egyptian Feed-in-tariff (FiT) program.

EBRD, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) as the original lenders on this innovative refinancing. The transaction involved a USD 100m participation by EBRD in a USD 335m green bond issuance by Scatec ASA. This is in addition to a USD 30m Credit Enhancement Facility, provided alongside a MIGA PRI cover, for the benefit of the participating international institutional investors.

Softline Group LTD on the acquisition of 49% of Digitech for Information Technology SAE, including the drafting of transaction documents and advising on the transfer of shares process before the EGX.

AmerisourceBergen Corporation (ABC) on the acquisition of the majority of Walgreens Boots Alliance’s Alliance Healthcare businesses for $6.275 billion.

Majid Al Futtaim on all the aspects related to the acquisition of Zahran Market (a reputable supermarket chain in Egypt).

The Vodafone Group Plc (Vodafone) in relation to the transfer of its 55% shareholding in Vodafone Egypt for Telecommunications S.A.E to Vodacom Group Limited (VGL).
