Nouran joined Sharkawy and Sarhan in December 2016, she is a member of the Commercial and TMT team. She holds a master’s degree in international commerce law from Ain Shams University. She largely contributed in creating the legal guide for the Solar Data Platform lead by A2K4D School of Business, AUC.
She completed a 20 months full-time secondment in a major tech company in Egypt where she acted as an in-house counsel advising on all matters of Egyptian law. She also advised several big tech companies on Fintech related matters.
Nouran assisted in drafting suggested amendments to the Data Protection Law’s ER. She also advised several leading TMT companies in matters relating to cyber security and data privacy and completed a detailed questionnaire for the purpose of finalizing the “transfer impact assessment” for Egypt, following the Schrems II decision of the court of justices of the European Union.
