She has advised multiple multinational clients on public and private M&A transactions in Egypt (acting for buyers and sellers) relating to life sciences and TMT sectors, including Vodafone Group, Dell Technologies, and STMicroelectronics N.V.

Youmna also advises several financial institutions and regulatory bodies on their capital market operations, including the Egyptian Ministry of Finance, EFG Hermes, and IFC.

Representative Experience

Assisting Coventry University with the application process for opening its branch in the New Capital, in Egypt including the review and negotiation of its collaboration agreement with the Egyptian university institution that is hosting the branch.

Advising the Egyptian Ministry of Finance (MoF) on the admission of Egyptian treasury bills and treasury bonds (the “Securities”) to the Euroclear system. Our work included advising on several extensive questionnaires in relation to the eligibility of the Securities to be traded through the Euroclear system while being deposited within the Egyptian system, as well as the protection of the Securities holders’ rights at all times.

Representing Nomac, RWE (DEA), a giant tech company and Azadea on various general corporate, commercial and labor law issues and providing ongoing legal assistance.

Advising major international development company on its private-to-private solar power projects under net-metering and wheeling schemes in Egypt.

Advising the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the financing of private-to-private solar power projects.
