MINISTRY OF TRADE & INDUSTRY DECISION SUSPENDING PUBLIC CONTRACTS FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES & REDIRECTING SUPPLIES TO UNIFIED PURCHASE UNIT

The Minister of Trade issues a decision on the suspension of all existing public contracts on supplying medical equipment used to counter Covid-19.  Instead, the ministry of health (through the unified purchase unit) will receive all supplies.

The contractor shall supply the equipment to the unified purchase unit, following the same terms and conditions he/she agreed upon in the suspended contract.

This decision is enforceable for three months. The only exceptions to the decision are the contracts concluded with the police force or the military force.
