Rulefinder Data Privacy Questionnaire for Egypt
We are delighted to announce that we collaborated with Aosphere (an affiliate of Allen & Overy) on covering the questionnaire for Egypt in its leading service, Rulefinder Data Privacy , an online resource that provides practical analysis of data privacy laws across key global markets.
The 100 page questionnaire covers key topics, like organization-level data privacy requirements, consent, privacy notice, data retention, data subject requests, data transfer & localization rules, breach response and requirements for data processors.
We are still on the lookout for the establishment of Egyptian Data Protection Center and the issuance of the executive regulation of the Data Protection Law 151/2020 – not issued yet. Companies and individuals will have a grace period of one year from the date of issuance of the executive regulation to comply with the law.
Our work was led by Ahmed Sharkawy, head of our TMT practice group, and supported by Nouran Gamal, Nourhan El Sarky, Dalia Abdelghany, Menna Abouzekry, Omar Sherif and Noura Allam.
