This landmark transaction represents a significant milestone in Egypt’s banking sector and concludes a complex and highly demanding process spanning several months, including a competitive bidding process. Completion of the sale remains subject to the approval of the regulatory authorities.
Our team advised HSBC on all Egyptian law aspects of the transaction, supporting the matter through an intensive and multifaceted workstream from inception through to signing.
