Sharkawy & Sarhan is delighted to have acted as Egyptian Local Counsel to Bain Capital in connection with its acquisition of Vitabiotics, a British nutraceutical company that specializes in vitamin and mineral-based food supplements, including its UK operations and the wider VB Group (including Meyer Organics in India, and its operations in Africa, including VB Egypt). Completion of the transaction remains subject to applicable closing conditions, including customary regulatory approvals.

We provided Egyptian legal support in relation to the transaction, assisting with local due diligence and advising on Egyptian law aspects of the acquisition as part of the broader international workstream supporting Bain Capital’s investment.

The transaction was led by Senior Associate, Menna Abouzekry, supported by Associate Hana Nassar and Attorneys at law Saif Elassal and Nour Hassan.
